Ms. Napaswan Namboonsri Showcases Migrant Health Research at the 6th Conference of the German Network for Forced Migration Studies


The Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, extends its warmest congratulations to Ms. Napaswan Namboonsri, Lecturer in the Department of Public Health Nursing, whose research paper was selected through a rigorous blind peer-review process for presentation at The 6th Conference of the German Network for Forced Migration Studies, held in a hybrid format on September 29, 2026, under the theme "Eroding solidarity? Forced Migration, Protection and Inclusion in a World Beyond Order."

During the conference, Ms. Namboonsri presented her study titled "Thailand's Integration of the Global Compact for Migration and the Sustainable Development Goals into Migrant Health Systems: Policy Alignment and Implementation through a Social Determinants Lens" in the panel session "Navigating Migration Governance Systems, Urban Informality, and Precarity in Asia and East Africa." This impactful research represents a collaborative effort between the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University; the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia; and the International Health Policy Program Foundation (IHPP), Thailand.

Her participation highlighted the university’s commitment to global health equity, providing a valuable platform to exchange scholarly insights, foster international research networks, and advance evidence-based policy recommendations to improve health outcomes for migrant populations worldwide.
