ที่มาและความสำคัญ: The influx of migrants into Thailand rapidly increasing. An ongoing  commitment from  government agencies and  health care  settings is  required to provide targeted health promotion  services, as well as services that provide early detection and  timelytreatment  for  health  concerns, in  a  safe environment that will not impact these workers’statuses as legal migrantsin Thailand. To provide these services, it is imperative that data is collected to assess this population’s health needs and to develop andtest interventions to meet those needs. The two aims of this study are to investigatethe prevalenceof mental health  problems and  to  explore  the  influence  of  specific socio-demographic characteristics,  social  support,  and  acculturative  stress scoreson the  occurrence  ofmental health problemsin migrant workers from Myanmar who work in Thailand.
ขอบเขต/พื้นที่ศึกษา: A cross-sectional design, involving interviews with 445 migrant workers from Myanmar in Samutsakhon Province, Thailand
วัตถุประสงค์: To determine the prevalence of mental health problems in migrant workers from Myanmar in Thailand and to examine the relationship among factors that influence such problems. Lazarus's transactional model of stress and coping was used to frame the study.
