1. General Education Courses
1.1 Social and Humanity Courses 9 credits
The meaning, significance, and relation of General Education to other vocational/ specific subjects, the relation between behavior and mentality, critical thinking, the qualifications of ideal graduates, analysis of causes and consequences of events / situations /problems, synthesis of solutions to, precautions against, or improvements in those events / situations to benefit individuals and their community, and the application of knowledge to solve the problems of case studies |

1.2 Language Courses 12 credits
Art of using Thai language and of speaking, listening, reading, writing, and thinking skills for accurate and appropriate communication. |

2.1 Pre Professional 28 credits
Molecular structure and classification of organic compounds, reactions of organic compounds, nomenclature and stereochemistry, syntheses and reactions of alkanes, cycloalkanes, alkenes, alkynes, aromatic hydrocarbons, halides, alcohols, phenols, ethers, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, carboxylic acid derivatives, amines, carbohydrate, amino acid and lipids. |
Systemic classification of living organisms; reproduction and development in human and animals; comparative physiology of organ systems in human and animals, emphasizes on diseases and abnormalities, including nervous system, receptor and motor system, digestive system, endocrine system, gas exchange and excretory system, circulatory system and immune system; and basic biology laboratories. |
Experiments of general chemistry and basic organic chemistry include determinations of scientific errors, significant numbers, precision and accuracy, preparation of solution and titration, rate of reaction, chemical equilibria, quantitative analysis using spectroscopy, solubility classification, use of models to study stereochemistry of organic substance, reactions of hydrocarbons, reactions of alcohols and phenols, reactions of aldehydes and ketones, reactions of carboxylic acids and derivatives, reactions of amines. |
Concepts and applications of probability and probability distributions in various events; interpretation of statistical values; descriptive statistics; sampling for good representatives of populations and its use in estimation and hypothesis testing. |
The basic concept of living cells, organs and systems of human body. The relationship of human structures and functions is emphasized. The human skeleton and cadavers are utilized in the laboratory study. |
The course covers basic concepts and principles of cell functions and the functions of different organ systems such as nervous, muscular, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, gastrointestinal tract, endocrine and reproductive systems, mechanisms of regulation of organ system integration and adaptations in order to keep the body in a homeostatic state. |

Fundamental principles of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. Drugs used for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, renal, central nervous system, respiratory, gastrointestinal endocrine system, chemotherapy of infectious diseases and cancer, the use of Thai herbal medicine in primary health care, emphasis on pharmaceutical preparation, drug administration, mechanism of action, therapeutic use , contraindication and precaution, drug interaction and drug toxicity. |
Principle, processes, and factors influencing communication and interpersonal relationship. Development of self awareness. Principle and processes of counseling, basic skills in counseling process, and application of the skills in health counseling in simulated situations. |
Concepts, principles, scope of epidemiology, distribution, determinant, surveillance, disease investigation, communicable and non-communicable disease prevention and control, epidemiologic study and biostatistics, health indicators, the application and utilization of epidemiology in nursing practice. |
Dysfunction of nervous system, endocrine system, immune system, circulatory system, respiratory system, urinary system, gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary system, pancreas that may cause diseases of a system or multisystems; other abnormalities resulting in disturbance of homeostasis; tumors of body systems. |

Principle concepts in nursing, theories, nursing science and science related to nursing, application of nursing science for nursing practice, professional role and health care team, professional standards, nursing and health development for individual family and society. |
Component of information technology, development of nursing information system, hospital information system, information and nursing classification system, implement of information system in nursing administration, practice, education, and research, design and development of instructional media in nursing. |
Concept, nursing process, principles and techniques of health assessment in individuals from infant through elderly including history taking, physical examination, psychosocial assessment, interpretation of laboratory findings and health status analysis. |
Importance of the research and evidence-based nursing, steps in the research process, research designs, research ethics, basic statistics for data analysis and data interpretation, evidence-based nursing process, utilizing the evidence-based nursing in health problems solving. |
Concepts, importance, and advantages of breastfeeding. Basic principles of breastfeeding and communication. Concept of health, lifestyle, psychology, nutrition and factors influencing health status and illnesses, health policy, health care services system and nursing system in providing care to the population, health promotion and disease prevention concept, theoretical bases of health behaviors and adaptation of individual across lifespan, strategies for promoting health and disease prevention, integration of local wisdom and alternative care to maintain well-being, roles of nurses in health promotion and disease prevention. |
Concept of nursing care for children from birth to adolescents with conditions of acute, critical and chronic illness and their families. Health promotion and risk deduction. Nursing care for newborns, children and adolescents with infections disease, and the problems related to gastrointestinal, respiratory, cardiovascular, urological, endocrine, nervous, in tegumentary system. Hematologic system and cancer, as well as immobilization, and undergone surgery. |

Issues and trend of aging population, theories of aging, physiological, psychosocial and spiritual changes of normal aging, comprehensive geriatric assessment, common health problems, attitudes toward aging and ethical issues in gerontological nursing, health promotion, health protection, disease prevention, rehabilitation, care for the elderly with chronic illness, continuing care and palliative care, coordinative networking, multidisciplinary family, community. |
This course focuses on trends of maternal and newborn nursing, premarital counseling, family planning, pregnancy and factors influencing the fetus, concepts of maternal-newborn nursing and midwifery as well as infertility. It also includes physio-psychosocial changes of maternal-child in prenatal, intranatal and postnatal and neonatal period. Moreover, the principle of holistic care for mothers-newborns, alternative medicine, breastfeeding and the promotion of mothers, newborns and family relationships are integrated. |

Practicing holistic family-centered care for infants, children, and adolescents with acute and chronic illnesses including gastrointestinal, respiratory, cardiovascular, hematologic and malignancy, urologic, endocrine, neurologic, and dermatologic disorders as well as for pediatric patients with immobilization. Utilizing nursing process in nursing practice and enhancing individuals’ and family’s ability in self-care and continuing care with concerns of patient’s rights and codes of professional conduct. |
Nursing practice in adult and elderly clients with health problems related to respiratory system, cardiovascular system, hematology, blood circulation, neurological system, gastrointestinal system, endocrine, immunology, infection, skin, urinary tract system, and cancer. Care for clients at acute, critical, and chronic phases. Integration of theories and evidence-based concepts in holistic nursing. This course is based on nursing practice by using holistic care for mothers and newborns during prenatal, intranatal and postnatal period and using nursing processes integrating alternative medicine in nursing care. It includes discharge planning for continuing care in order to promote ability in self-care and relationship between maternal-newborn and family. Concern of the person’s rights and the ethics in nursing profession are integrated all the nursing practice. |

This course focuses on the practice of holistic nursing care, using nursing process integrated with local wisdom, for mothers and newborns at risk during prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. It includes the attendance during labor, conduction of normal deliveries, and assistance in normal and abnormal deliveries. The discharge plan conduction to provide continuing care to promote self-care abilities and relationships among mothers, newborns and the families are also emphasized. The patients’ rights and Codes of ethics for nurses provide guidance for practice in this course. |
