Activities in 2024

 

"Enhancing Student-Faculty Relationships 2024" Activity

On November 23, 2024, the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Nursing Science (International Program) of the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, organized the "Enhancing Student-Faculty Relationships 2024" event for doctoral students from cohort 2021-2024. The activities included cultural touring at Ancient City, exploring wildlife conservation at the Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm and Zoo, and observing seagulls at Bang Pu Recreation Center, Samut Prakan Province. The objective was to foster strong relationships between senior and junior students as well as faculty members, while also improving teamwork skills, communication, creativity, and networking. The event was filled with bliss and joy.



Dissertation Seminar 2024

Doctor of Philosophy Program in Nursing Science (International Program), held the "Dissertation Seminar 2024" for 14 second-year students (Cohort 2023). The seminar was divided into five rounds from September to November, 2024, during which the students presented their dissertation proposals. Faculty members and peers actively participated by providing valuable feedback, helping the students refine their proposals and prepare for their upcoming dissertation proposal defense.



Congratulatory Event for Graduates Academic Year 2023

On October 2, 2024, the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, held a Congratulatory Event for Graduates of Academic Year 2023. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ameporn Ratinthorn, Dean of Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, together with the administrative team and faculty members, extended their congratulations and celebrated the achievements of all the graduates. Cheers to your success!



Teacher’s Day Ceremony

On September 19, 2024, 1st year and 2nd year Ph.D. students participated Teacher’s Day Ceremony at Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University (Salaya). Each year's representatives expressed gratitude and respect to the professors by presenting the flower trays that the students had made together.



Special lecture

On August 15, 2024, 1st year students participated in a special lecture by Dr. Thaksaphon Thamarangsi, MD., on the topic "Global Health Policy and Healthcare System." During the session, students had the opportunity to discuss and explore key issues and trends related to nursing leadership, healthcare systems, and the formulation of national and international health policies.


On September 19, 2024, Dr. Rath Dhnadirek, a guest speaker, delivered a special lecture for 1st year students on the topic "Strategic Leadership in the Healthcare Industry," focusing on nursing leadership strategies and global leadership. Students had the chance to learn about successful leadership strategies from an expert and exchange ideas.

These lectures were part of the NSID 681 Nursing Leadership and Health Policy course, which aimed to provide students with insights into advanced leadership strategies in nursing and global healthcare systems from distinguished professionals.



Orientation for New Students 2024

On August 2, 2024, Doctor of Philosophy Program in Nursing Science (International Program) arranged an Orientation for new students’ cohort 2024 at Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University (Salaya). The students were provided information about the program and academic staff, facilities, while the 2nd year students shared their student life experience.


On August 13, 2024, the new students also participated in a special lecture on the topic of "Ethical Concerns in Using AI Chatbots for Academic Purposes" by Associate Professor Dr. Chailerd Pichitpornchai, Director of The Institute for Innovative Learning, Mahidol University. The lecture aimed at raising awareness about academic ethics.


Additionally, they attend in a workshop on “Nursing Databases” and “Endnote & Turnitin Training” which introduced them to essential resources for their studies. These orientation activities are intended to help students with their academic journey.


Ph.D. Students Seminar Cohort 2023.

On June 5, 2024. The program held a "Ph.D. Students Seminar Cohort 2023". The seminar invited students and program instructors to discuss the results and give suggestions for all coursework during the 2023 academic year. Students’ suggestions will be beneficial to the program by improving or maintaining the quality of courses.



On January 29-31, 2024, the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) held an event to strengthen the academic personnel’s potential and standards by improving and exchanging knowledge for invention and innovation development at the Grand Ballroom, Maruay Garden Hotel, Bangkok. The event aims to foster young people into quality researchers and innovators, as well as to encourage academic students to expand a network of research and innovation across educational Institutes and private sector.

Our doctoral students (Academic year 2021), Miss Parvinee Saiklang, Mrs. Tippawan Iamchareon, and Miss Waiyaporn Promwong had participated in this event to present their innovations in the field of Health, Wellness, & Bio-Med.

Congratulations to Sqn.Ldr.Pairin Saenjun and Mrs. Tippawan Iamchareon, our students of Doctor of Philosophy Program in Nursing Science (International Program) for being awarded "Educational Promotion and Support Scholarship for Graduate Student B.E. 2567" from The Nurses’ Association of Thailand (จากมูลนิธิหม่อมเจ้าหญิงมัณฑารพ กมลาศน์ ของสมาคมพยาบาลแห่งประเทศไทยฯ)
