Applicant Qualifications

Plan 1.1 (Research only)

1. Hold a Master’s degree in nursing or related discipline with bachelor degree in nursing from academic institutes accredited by the Office of the Higher Education Commission, Thailand. The accreditation must be also obtained from Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council for Thai nursing institutes;
   
2. Have experience in conducting research and have at least one international or national publication, which is not part of the study for degree certificate, in a peer-reviewed journal as first author or corresponding author;
   
3. Currently hold a national license for registered nurse issued by Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council or nursing regulatory authority in her/his country;
   
4. Have cumulative GPA not less than 3.50 (on basis of 4.00 scale);
   
5. Have an English Proficiency Examination score as the requirement of Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University;
   
6. Applicant who does not meet the requirements in items 4) and 5) may be considered by the Program Administrative Committee and the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

Plan 2.1 (Course work and research)

1. Hold a Master’s degree in nursing or related discipline with bachelor degree in nursing from academic institutes accredited by the Office of the Higher Education Commission, Thailand. The accreditation must be also obtained from Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council for Thai nursing institutes;
   
2. In case of holding a master’s degree in nursing of which a thesis is not required, a prospective student must have at least one international or national publication, which is not part of the study for degree certificate, in a peer-reviewed journal as first author or corresponding author;
   
3. Currently hold a national license for registered nurse issued by Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council or nursing regulatory authority in her/his country;
   
4. Have cumulative GPA not less than 3.50 (on basis of 4.00 scale);
   
5. Have an English Proficiency Examination score as the requirement of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University;
   
6. Applicant who does not meet the requirements in items 4) and 5) may be considered by the Program Administrative Committee and the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
