Activities in 2018

On 10th and 13th September, 2018, Doctor of Philosophy Program in Nursing held an orientation event for our new students. Along with faculty members and staff, senior students from our program also participate in the event to give and advise and to welcome our new students. New students are also given a tour of Faculty of Nursing’s Library and The Nursing Information and Knowledge Centre Commemorating Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's 60th Birthday and Royal Archives of Queen Sri Savarindira and Royal Archives of Prince Mahidol of Songkla-Princess Srinagarindra.

Congratulations to two doctoral students who had been chosen to receive the Dean’s List award, which is given to graduates who has exemplary academic results. The two recipients are Miss Sitanan Srijaiwong, a student of Doctor of Nursing Science program, and Miss Umaporn Hanrungcharotorn, a students of Doctor of Philosophy Program in Nursing (International Program).

The 22nd EAFONS 2019 conference

The conference will take place during 17 to 18 January 2019, andthe venue of the conference will be at Furama RiverFront Hotel, Republic of Singapore.

12 May – 2 June,2018, Prof.Dr. Alicia Matthews from College of Nursing, University of Illinois at Chicago, United States of America, came to visit the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol Univeristy. The purpose of her visit is to give a lecture and hold a workshop for graduate students of the Faculty of Nursing on the topic of “How to Write a Review Article for Publications” and “How to get publication in international journals”. Students in Doctor of Philosophy program in Nursing Science, along with master’s degree students and our staff attended to the aforementioned workshops and lectures.

On 30 May, 2018, The library of Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University held an event "ASEAN tour with Library". The mentioned event featured a discussion session and report presentation on the topic of "Nursing Profession in Thailand and Indonesia", an ASEAN books exhibition, an ASEAN food cooking demonstration, and a quiz competition.

On 23 May, 2018, Miss Kultida Hattakitpanichakul, a student from Kingdom of Thailand , passed a defense examination of his thesis titled “The Effects of the Dual Approach Program on Parent's Sexual Communication and Sexual Abstinence Intention among Thai Grade 7 Female Adolescents”

On 3rd February, 2018, students of Doctor of Philosophy Program in Nursing went on a cultural visit trip to Ko Kret, a famous cultural site in Nonthaburi region of Thailand. During this trip, students were given the opportunity to observe local community daily life by taking a boat trip and by visiting local cultural market. They were also participated in the pottery crafting and canvas drawing workshop.

During 29 January - 2 February, 2018, Professor Dr. Alex Molassiotis from School of Nursing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, paid a visit to the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University. During his visit, he will participate as a key speaker at various sessions of special lecture and discussions at Faculty of Nursing, Salaya Campus, which Graduate students are all welcomed to participate in.
