On 26 December, 2017, Ms.Jahura Khatun, a student from the People's Republic of Bangladesh, passed a defense examination of her thesis titled “The Effect of Healthy Heart Intervention on Functional Status and Risk Parameters among Patients with Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting Surgery in Bangladesh”

In November, 2017, Doctor of Philosophy Program in Nursing held multiple sessions of dissertation seminar for our students to attend in order to improve, discuss, and present their dissertation proposal with each others and with their own academic advisors.

On 6 November, 2017, Mr.Muhammad Nural Islam, a student from the People's Republic of Bangladesh , passed a defense examination of his thesis titled “Factors Influencing Quality of Life among Patients with Moderate to Severe Traumatic Brain Injury in Bangladesh”

On 8 September, 2017, Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University held a photoshoot session and graduation party for all of our students who graduated in the same year. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Yajai Sitthimongkol, the dean, along with the administration team and other academic stuff and academic advisors of the Faculty of Nursing also participated to celebrate and take photographs with the students on this occasion.

On 8 August, 2017, Mr.Ngo Xuan Long, a doctoral student from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, passed a defense examination of his thesis titled “Factors Predicting Health Status of Stroke Caregivers in Thai Nguyen, Vietnam”.

During 3-17 July, 2017, Prof.Dr. Alicia Matthews from College of Nursing, University of Illinois at Chicago, United States of America, came to visit the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol Univeristy. The purpose of her visit is to give a lecture and hold a workshop for graduate students of the Faculty of Nursing on the topic of “How to Write a Review Article for Publications.” Students in Doctor of Philosophy program in Nursing Science, along with master’s degree students and our staff attended to the aforementioned workshops and lectures.

During 23 May – 9 June, 2017, Prof. Dr. Judith G. Baggs from School of Nursing, Oregon Health & Science University, United States of America, came to visit the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol Univeristy The purpose of her visit is to give a lecture for graduate students of the Faculty of Nursing on the topic of “Publishing Research in English Language Journals” Students in Doctor of Philosophy program in Nursing Science, along with master’s degree students and our staff attended to the aforementioned workshops and lectures.
