Department of Public Health Nursing not only provides community services as one of the Mission of Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, but also encourages student and faculty participation as integral aspects including educational, research, cultural and athletic activities
 
Communities are one of our target populations for community services for people across lifespan such as newborns, preschool children, adolescents, adults, and elders.
Jaturamitr-Sampan, community-based health promoting center, was established in 1981 funded by the National Housing Authority. The aims of this center are to serve as childcare center for preschool children and as nursing clinical practice of Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University.

Jaturamitr-Sampan Health Promoting Center has been developed to collaborate with Health center 26, Department of Health, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and local schools to help expand health care services and education in nine communities under catchments area of Health center 26 such as Sri-Poom, Samakkee-Srisupan, Wat-YaiSrisupan and etc. Almost two decades, nursing students and faculty have an opportunity for community healthcare experience as part of their clinical practice and service requirements.
