Department of Obstetric Gynecological nursing has provided teaching, education, research and academic services for target groups, which are reproductive women, and women in pregnancy labor/ delivery and postpartum periods, including newborns and their families. In the past until now, our faculty members have provided academic services through various of projects, which are preparation for childbirth and maternal roles, obstetric gynecological counseling by telephone, sex and sexually transmitted disease education for female students, and premarital and preconception counseling to couples. All of these projects are produced with research studies, and turned to use outcomes and evidences from research to improve the academics service. All of the outcomes of academic services and research will affect all periods of women's health in the country. Therefore, with these reasons, centers of excellence are established for systematic development of academic services, research, and obstetric-gynecological nursing education. The first 2 centers: the center of excellence for women's health, and the center of excellence for teenage mothers, will prior serve our missions. The details of each center are as follow.
