The department's policy is directed toward the provision of quality professional services to the society. It is hoped that people will have good self-care, which will lead to the improved quality of life of children and their families. A guideline for the provision of professional services is set up by the Department of Pediatric Nursing as follow:
- Serving as a guest lecturer for nursing students in other educational institutes.
- Serving as a guest speaker in a nursing conference, seminar, and training for pediatric nurses, chldren and their families, teachers, and caregivers.
- Offering information and professional advice on child rearing practices and pediatric nursing through mass media such as journals, radio, television and internet webing.
- Providing health information and advice to children and their caregivers.
Current services:
- Infant massage
- Sex education for children and adolescent
- Child health telephone counseling
The Department of Pediatric Nursing and the Pediatric Nurses Society of Thailand jointly provide telephone-counseling service regarding child-rearing practice to parents and caregivers.
