Doctor of Philosophy Program in Nursing Science
Mahidol University by Faculty of Nursing offers the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Nursing Science with the aims to produce the PhD graduates with advanced knowledge and high competency in nursing and advanced research, self-directed learning to develop new knowledge responsive to health needs, profound comprehension of principle and theories in nursing science, creativity and leadership in academics and nursing with concerns of cultural diversity, ethics and codes of professional conduct.
The program distinguishes itself by drawing on a wider pool of expertise and experience of more than thirty faculties, along with our collaborators from Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital. Furthermore, the program also has strong academic collaborations with more than 10 renowned schools of nursing in the United States, Canada, and Australia giving our students and faculty members international experience and global perspectives. Very close working relationship that exists between students and faculty is also another strength of our program.
The program of study emphasizes research skills and in-depth knowledge in nursing science so that the graduates will demonstrate competence in all phases of research methods and conduct research that is grounded in, and in turn informs, theory, practice, and policy.
