Activities in 2018

On 27th August, 2018, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tassanee Prasopkittikun , Associate Dean for Graduate Studies of Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, hosted an orientation event for new students in Master of Nursing Science Program (International Program) Academic year 2018.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aurawamon Sriyuktasuth, the program director, along with faculty members, staffs, and students of the same program have also participated in this event at room 1103/1-2, 11th floor, Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University (Bangkoknoi)

On 30 May, 2018, The library of Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University held an event “ASEAN tour with Library”. The mentioned event featured a discussion session and report presentation on the topic of “Nursing Profession in Thailand and Indonesia”, and ASEAN food cooking demonstration, and a quiz competition.


12 May - 2 June, 2018, Professor Dr. Alicia Matthews from College of Nursing, University of Illinois at Chicago, United States of America, came to visit the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol Univeristy. The purpose of her visit is to give a lecture and hold a workshop for graduate students of the Faculty of Nursing on the topic of “How to write review article for international publication” and “How to get publication in international journals”. Master’s degree students, along with students in Doctor of Philosophy program in Nursing Science and our staff attended to the aforementioned workshops and lectures.


On 30th March, 2018, master’s degree students visited Phyathai III Hospital for the purpose of learning nursing system of Phyathai III Hospital. This study visit is a part of NSAN 625 Nursing Practicum in Adult Nursing with Complex Health Problem I under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Wallada Chanruangvanich and NSPC 624 Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing Practicum under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Nopporn Vongsirimas.


On 20th March, 2018, master’s degree students visited Continuing care unit, Siriraj Hospital for the purpose of learning rehabilitation services providing system. This study visit is a part of NSAN 625 Nursing Practicum in Adult Nursing with Complex Health Problem I under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Wallada Chanruangvanich NSPC 624 Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing Practicum under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Nopporn Vongsirimas.


On 16th March, 2018, master’s degree students visited Chaloemphrakiat Building, Siriraj Hospital for the purpose of learning clinical situation analysis. This study visit is a part of NSAN 625 Nursing Practicum in Adult Nursing with Complex Health Problem I under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Wallada Chanruangvanich NSPC 624 Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing Practicum under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Nopporn Vongsirimas. upervision of Associate Professor Dr. Nopporn Vongsirimas.


On 13th March, 2018, master’s degree students visited Mahavajiralongkorn Cancer Center for the purpose of learning nursing system of Mahavajiralongkorn Cancer Center. This study visit is a part of NSAN 625 Nursing Practicum in Adult Nursing with Complex Health Problem I under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Wallada Chanruangvanich NSPC 624 Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing Practicum under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Nopporn Vongsirimas.


On 23rd February, 2018, Master of Nursing Science Program (International Program) had a class activity participated by students from both adult and mental health and psychiatric nursing. Topic is "Motion: Psychiatric patients should be tested for HIV and no need to ask any permissions from patients".

During 29 January - 2 February, 2018, Professor Dr. Alex Molassiotis from School of Nursing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, paid a visit to the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University. During his visit, he will participate as a key speaker at various sessions of special lecture and discussions at Faculty of Nursing, Salaya Campus, which Graduate students are all welcomed to participate in.


Field trips

On 28th January, 2018, master’s degree students visited Tzu Chi Foundation in Thailand to practice with people who are culturally diverse. This visit is a part of NSID 633 Harmony in Diversity of Global Cultures and Health under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr.Supapak Phetrasuwan.

 


On 26th January, 2018, master’s degree students field visited for Alternative Medicine at Golden Jubilee Medical Center (Traditional Chinese Medicine, Applied Thai Traditional Medicine, Homeopathy, Thai Folk Osteopathy and Foot Reflexology) This visit is a part of NSID 633 Harmony in Diversity of Global Cultures and Health under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr.Supapak Phetrasuwan.



On 25th January, 2018, master’s degree students visited Samutsakorn hospital and migrant community to practice with people who are culturally diverse. This visit is a part of NSID 633 Harmony in Diversity of Global Cultures and Health under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr.Supapak Phetrasuwan.
