The department's policy is aimed at encouraging faculty to conduct more studies in children with wellness and those with illness as well as with their families. The major goal is to generate new knowledge in pediatric nursing. To achieve this goal, the following activities are initiated:
1. Studying problems in pediatric nursing or those in related fields. Findings of the studies can be used for the improvement of pediatric nursing curriculum and teaching strategies, which will lead to better nursing practice and help improve the quality of life of children and their families
2. Creating collaborative research between faculty members, professional nurses and other disciplines in health fields. This research endeavor helps develop evidence-based practice, nursing innovation and nursing profession particularly in the area of pediatric nursing
